“The Neighbourhood”, Bishops Gardens’ Adult Day Program, in St. John’s, Newfoundland has their grand opening scheduled for May 25th. The beautiful 10,000 square-foot space is highly stylized as a neighbourhood and is an incredible addition to community-based care options for seniors.
“We are thrilled to be working with the team at Bishops Gardens – they are visionaries. Community based programming for older adults in our neighbourhoods is not only near and dear to my heart but woven into the very culture and mission of Nxtgen. Adult day programs have been around since the 1990s. Employing forward looking technology to measure and manage care and outcomes is not only novel but most likely a world first”, says Nxtgen Care’s CEO David Burke.
The Adult Day Program will offer all the services traditionally found in personal care homes for those who do not require an overnight stay, such as physical fitness, social programming, field trips, medication administration and more. The program will also have the ability to accommodate many levels of care, with a special program for those with cognitive challenges.
