to Transform Senior Living Operations
Also Announces New Website: Nxtgencare.ai

WILMINGTON, NC and HALIFAX, NS – May 19, 2025 — Nxtgen Care today announced the official launch of its AI-powered Nxtgen(eration) Intelligence Platform, now available to senior living communities
across the United States and Canada. The company simultaneously unveiled its new digital presence at
Nxtgencare.ai.
Originally designed to revitalize underperforming senior living communities, the Nxtgen platform is the result of a collaboration between senior care operator David Burke and technology entrepreneur Dan LeBlanc. Together, they developed a solution that not only improves Net Operating Income (NOI) but also supports what they call a “Culture of Abundance” for residents, families, and staff.
“When I acquired our first struggling community, I found an ‘I Don’t Have Enough’ mindset everywhere — among staff, residents, and leadership,” said David Burke, Co-founder of Nxtgen Care. “We built Nxtgen to shift that culture, using real-time intelligence to put the right resources in the right hands, at the right time — ultimately increasing care quality while improving financial performance.”
Having successfully exited from the original communities to focus entirely on Nxtgen, Burke and the team have worked closely with operators and technology partners to refine the platform’s intelligence models, demonstrating measurable outcomes ahead of today’s national rollout.
Nxtgen Care AI powered Senior Care and Operation Management Platform
The platform is comprised of three tightly integrated modules, each designed to empower decision- makers at every level of the organization:
1. Critical Workflow
Connects scheduled and unscheduled events with real-time staff tasking to ensure timely care delivery. Caregivers receive clear, actionable updates via a mobile staff app — significantly reducing resident wait times (+60%) and unnecessary steps, while streamlining operations and delivering values based outcomes.
2. Staff Performance
Delivers real-time Care Performance Indicators (CPIs) and coaching directly to caregivers, supervisors, and leadership. The system promotes accountability, supports staff development, and encourages a high-performance culture through transparent reporting, and personalized real time performance goal setting and management.
3. Financial Optimization
Provides Executive Directors with daily, real-time insights into revenue leakage, changes in care levels, and staff-driven financial performance. By connecting financial outcomes directly to care delivery, operators can make smarter, resident-centered decisions.Nxtgen Care’s platform can be deployed in just days and integrates seamlessly with existing technology systems — preserving prior investments and minimizing disruption.
A Human-Centered Approach to AI in Senior Living
“At first, I was hesitant of the technology,” said Melissa Crouch, Administrator of The Kempton at Brightmore in Wilmington, NC, and the first recipient of the Nxtgen Care Award. “But once I saw how the intelligence empowered my staff — the people on the ground who really make the difference — I was sold.”
